25-Bed Critical Access Hospital – Western Kansas

Greeley County Health Services is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Director to lead patient registration, prior authorization, coding, and billing operations for our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital health system in Western Kansas, primarily located in Tribune, KS. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Patient Financial Services registration, authorizations, coding, billing, and collections functions

  • Ensure accurate charge capture, claim submission, and denial management

  • Monitor key revenue cycle metrics (AR days, denials, DNFB, cash collections)

  • Maintain compliance with Critical Access Hospital billing and reimbursement rules

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to improve workflows and documentation

  • Lead, train, and support a small, cross-trained coding, billing, registration, coding and central scheduling/ referral team.

  • Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer for financial reporting, key performance indicators, cost report preparation,etc.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)

  • 3–5 years of hospital revenue cycle experience

  • Experience within Critical Access Hospital preferred

  • Supervisory experience required

  • CPC, CCS, or RHIT certification preferred
